Principal's Message

Dear Holman Families:
As we look ahead to the third marking quarter, I am proud to acknowledge the efforts and diligence of all of our students and of our dedicated staff.  Our educational journey continues and Holman has so many things planned.  Be sure to peruse our class web pages and explore all of the information and resources made available for you and your child. Stay warm in this blustery weather.  Curl up with a cup of hot cocoa and a good book!  Literacy is the foundation upon which all learning builds.  Take the time to read to and with your child.  This daily investment will go a long way in shaping your child’s future – empowering them with the tools for success.  STUDY ISLAND continues to be an outstanding technology tool for students in grades 2 through 5 - providing review, reinforcement and challenge in the areas of literacy and math.  Reach out to Ms. Dunn if you need more information, or your child's login codes.
NJASK testing for grades 3, 4 and 5 begins the first week in May.  Be sure to continue to visit the Holman links and to also check out the revised school calendar on the Jackson website  - www.jacksonsd.org -  both sites contain a plethora of information!
Click on the “HOPE” link for information on future meeting dates, Family Fun Nights, and other HOPE initiatives within our school and within our school community.  Thank you for all of your support for our Recycling Initiatives -  as we continue to work together as a school community.
The Holman Elementary School Community continues in its dedication toward our common goal.   We continue to uphold a tradition of high performance standards that fosters growth in academic performance, character development, and effective communication; resulting in responsible, caring citizens.  Together our committed faculty, diligent students, and collaborative community work in unison to provide opportunities for everyone to excel to their fullest potential.
Sincerely yours in teaching and learning,
Theresa Licitra, Principal
